Tick Tock
I got an e-mail from Rager Media. They have a new poetry editor, and he's facing quite a backlog of submissions. My book is "still under consideration" (meaning probably that it hasn't been read yet). Good. They've only had it ten months.
I am a sinner saved by grace and a parttime poet. I participate in Celebrate Recovery and have been sober since 04/09/2011. My wife and I are both retired. I love my life. I am truly blessed.

Yes, Mr. Robertson, you guessed correctly. It does take a while, but then again, we'd rather give every MS a fair chance rather than just pick out the literary superstars with agents and big connections. Not to mention that we're booked until the beginning of '09 with projects as it is, so the priority has been to deal with the books that we already have in the pipeline. We have added some people to our staff in the hopes that we can speed things up a bit. Believe me, as a writer myself, I do know that the "wait game" is an excruciating thing. A major problem is that there are so many good books and so few publishers by comparison. Of course, there are plenty of really bad books published every year, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering how many good books can't get published. But rest assured that your book will actually be considered, and hasn't fallen into "The Abyss." :)
