Bill Robertson

I am a journeyman poet. So far I have been published 11 times (and paid twice). My second chapbook, Cloth Bones, is now on sale for $2, and I was looking for a publisher for my first book, but I got frustrated and published it online instead. I am available to read at any event and/or to host open mics.

I'd have to struggle to lift my head from the couch
where I lie
remote in hand
phone by my side
the dog sleeping on my belly
the singing pig and Nefertiti
watch over me from the bookcase
the blue excercise ball
unused
sits mournfully in the corner
no need to move till you come home
the day's too lng without you
your smill fills me to the brim
your sun overtakes my night
come home
come home

this constant buzz on
sitting here
medicated
in this fuzzy cushion of space
wondering about long term effects
it's been long term already
and maybe too late for wondering
but it's a safer
happier
place to be
so
so what
